F Pumpkin Spice Lattes

We are PISSED. I have a feeling all of our fellow summer girlies are. HOW the hell can it be September already, when it feels like summer just barely started. I just never feel like I did enough lake days, had enough iced coffees, spent enough time with a marg on a patio. And then BOOM, kids go back to school and there’s pumpkin displays at the grocery store. Need I remind you overly-eager autumn ladies, the last day of summer is the 22nd. Sip your pumpkin spice on the 23rd, because our only saving grace in the depression that is Summer Ending is the CLOTHES. The outfits. The LOOKS. September is the season of transitional fashion, which can be just as fun as full-on summer. It might even be more fun, because it’s the only time your winter and summer wardrobes meet, hold hands, and dance around. I’m talkin sweaters with denim shorts, I’m talking little cute dresses with big chunky boots. Etc. It’s mix-and-match season, which opens up so many creative choices with choosing your outfit.

One of my favorite transitional looks is mixing some leather in. A little croppy crop with some oversized leather shorts is a LOOK. Or, a leather jacket can really fall-up an outfit. I’ve also seen a lot of really cute looks where somebody pairs a girly cutesy free-peopley romper or set with some big, tall, brown leather boots and I LOVE.

It can definitely be the season of the denim, too. We have some REALLY cute denim jumpsuits in stock right now. Full denim is probably too warm for the peak of summer, but light wash is a total summer look. The solution is to wear the crap out of it in September, when it’s nice but not HOT, and also not cold enough to have to cover your fit with a jacket.

At the risk of repeating myself since I touched on this when talking about leather, BOOTS! You can totally pair most of your summer outfits with a pair of western boots or little ankle boots, and then it’s transitional! We actually have some super crazy sales going on boots right now, so definitely come check us out. Or, if you have your go-to fall boots, I encourage you to experiment with them a little! There’s no law stating that you have to only wear boots with skinny jeans, tucked in. In fact, I personally hate that look. (Don’t hate me if you love that look, you do you babe!!) Tall boots with long denim shorts? Booties with a fun wide leg cropped pant? Slay slay slay slay slay

Honestly, during the change of season, NOBODY knows what to wear. So, why not have fun with it? Mix some different fabrics in, wear something bold, try some new things out! Absolute worst case scenario you come home in the evening and go eh, maybe I won’t wear that again. It’s very low risk high reward to mix it up this season, so I recommend dipping into both your cold and warm weather clothes and putting together a franken-outfit!!
