Brief intro, we’ve been loving this trend so we had to do a themed spill this month!! Some things are NOT worth the money. For example, Erewon $20 smoothies. Also that Huda Beauty felt tip liner that dries out immediately. Summer Fridays makes one that’s $3 less and SO much better. Paying for “express” shipping that gets your online order BARELY here before standard. These things aren’t worth the splurge. But some things ARE, and here are some of those things.
- A GOOD pair of jeans. I swear by Hudson denim. I’d swear on my life, my job, my firstborn pet cat. The price is a bit spicy, around the $200 range, but they’ll last FOREVER, and when you’re wearing a nice pair of jeans, you can tell. I personally feel like everybody can tell. The difference between American Eagle and a pair of GOOD, quality jeans is immense, and it really makes any outfit elevated. Trust us and indulge! If you’re feeling crazy, invest in a good pair of denim shorts too. If you have one pair of jeans and one pair of shorts that you spent a little money on, your life will improve tremendously. Not even being dramatic.
- A good beach bag! Okay so Aloha Collection bags aren’t even wildly expensive, they range from $40-$80 with most of them falling in the middle. But you neeeeeed one for summers at the lake, or travel, or day to day hauling all your stuff around. They’re splash proof, easy to clean, and super durable. You won’t need to buy another one for a loooong time, but you’ll want to because they release new cute patterns all the time!
- Tarnish-proof jewelry!! We carry two types of jewelry in the shop: Rain, which is super fun fashion jewelry, and Salty Cali, which is simple, classic, and tarnish proof. I love wearing both for different reasons. I go for Rain for bright colors, statement necklaces, and $15 earrings!! But if you want a piece you can wear all the time, never take off, and maybe be a little hard on, it’s worth the upgrade to Salty Cali!! I hardly ever take mine off, and if you know me (Annie) you know that typically jewelry doesn’t last long in my hands. But this brand is truly effortless for me, because it’s durable and I can just leave it on as long as I want! 1000000% worth it in my eyes!!
- A swimsuit! Shien bikinis are an epidemic that I have fallen victim to, but never again. It’s so easy to say “oh wow both pieces of this bikini are $12 total? Add to cart!!” then when it ships from a million miles away 10 business days later and you put it on, it feels like paper and you wear it maybe 4 times before it literally disintegrates off your body in lake crescent. And you say “wow I shouldn’t have ordered that but I still really need a swimsuit” and then you do it AGAIN!!! Buy a GOOD one at the beginning of summer and you’ll spend the same amount as you would buying 4 skimpy fast fashion bikinis, for a cute and comfortable one that will actually last longer than one summer! It’ll also look waaay better!!
- Lastly, a signature scent. Our favorite is Kai, and we just did a majorrrr restock, so if that’s your signature then you’re in luck!! But really, whatever smell you like, I think it’s worth it to get the whole line. I just love when my body butter, perfume, deodorant, and hand lotion all smell the same. It’s a life hack to feel like your sh*t is together 24/7! My car is a mess, I haven’t gotten my hair trimmed in months, and I’m pretending a crack in my phone screen is just a scratch on the screen protector BUT all my body care products match so I feel like a classy Cleangirl ✨ it really does make a difference in how you feel, and feeling good is looking good!!
